Cut & Seal
Surgeons performing advanced laparoscopic procedures such as hysterectomy, colectomy, and bariatric surgery have been concerned with the limitations of current cut-and-seal platforms. The RealHand® ThermaSeal™ addresses these limitations by providing a revolutionary shift in cut-and-seal technology. ThermaSeal delivers the ability to seal and separate tissue with the power of the dynamic movement of RealHand.
How ThermaSeal works
ThermaSeal uses a process called thermal ligation to seal and separate soft tissue and vessels. When the ThermaSeal jaws are closed and the unit is activated, the heating elements quickly denature protein structures creating high-integrity seals and clean divisions. The jaws are insulated to minimize thermal spread and no blade or knife is employed in the process.
