Single Port Surgery

RealHand HD instruments uniquely enable the surgeon to reduce the number of trocars for surgery. RealHand facilitates single port laparoscopy by allowing triangulation of the instruments even after they are introduced in the same entry point. Single port total laparoscopic hysterectomy and oopherectomy are currently being performed entirely through the umbilicus. For the patient, this approach should yield less post-op pain, a reduced chance of infection or ventral hernia and better cosmetic results.
